I've always been a huge Ed Wood fan and it was a great delight to indulge in such a hysterical resurrection of this classic film set in print
I had to read to find out if the book would suck as bad as the movie. Was pleasantly surprised, what a fun read!
I would definitely recommend this book to anyone. If you haven't already ordered this...do so! It is a great read.
For those of you like Tim Burton, who respect and can't help loving the campy humor of Ed Wood's film, McMoon's adaptation brings a similar whit and whimsy that's both subversive and entertaining. Just like the film, there's a certain avant-garde quality to McMoon's prose, which can best be enjoyed in the late hours of the night after a few cocktails. Truly enjoyable.
